As discussed in the class on Nov 9th 2006, the test will mostly be from the "computing" part of the class. On the Bio/Pharmacogenomics side I would like you to know what pharmacogenomics is about and what is the role of "computing" in pharmacogenomics.
In the computing side, the expectation is that you have read and understand the slides that were gone over in the class. Examples of some questions are:
Make a decision tree for a given example.
Describe the naive Bayesian classification approach.
What are the different kinds of pathways one needs to worry about when thnking about the pharmacogenomics relationship between a drug and a disease.
Where do we use classification in Pharmacogenomics?
Where do we use clustering in Pharmacogenomics?
Explain at a high level the idea behind support vector machines.
Explain at a high level the idea behind kernel methods.
